IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK…
YOU CAN’T FIND THE RIGHT ANSWERS
WHAT IS MEDIGAP?
There’s no difference between Medigap and Medicare Supplement. They are synonyms for the health insurance you buy in addition to your Medicare.
IS MEDICARE ADVANTAGE A GOOD OPTION?
It might be. Too many agents just sell you a plan that at face value “covers all the possibilities”. It’s easier on them. But Michael will talk to you about your specific situation and see if Medicare Advantage is a good option.
CAN I COMBINE A MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT WITH A MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN?
No, a Medicare Supplement Insurance plan is only available with original Medicare (Part A and B).
WHEN AM I ELIGIBLE?
- You must be at least 65 years old.*
- You must be enrolled in Medicare Part A and B.
*or have end-stage renal disease or qualifying disability
I’M A SNOWBIRD. HOW DOES THAT WORK?
Normally, your plan will travel with you; but you need to confirm with Michael to make sure your coverage will travel with you wherever you go
ARE ALL MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT PLANS THE SAME?
All policies offer the same basic benefits, BUT some offer additional benefits, so you can choose which one meets your needs.
Is Medicare free?
Contrary to popular belief, Medicare is not free, and it’s important to understand the ins and outs of Medicare and Medicare Supplements before you sign up. Making the wrong choices can be expensive.
Even if you’ve been on Medicare for years, you may want to re-evaluate your options annually to make sure you’ve got the right plan. That’s where it becomes important to work with someone who not only has the experience in the field, but also is willing to get to know you as a person in order to help you find the right plan for not only your current needs, but to help you in the future as your needs change.
